The
Agriturismo Cascina Rocca rural retreat, is situated in a converted
old farm barn, right in the centre of Isola d'Asti.
Isola
is well known for its convenient location between the cities of Asti
and Alba, and can be easily reached by anyone willing to enjoy local
events, such as the Palio di Asti (the oldest recorded bareback horse
race in Italy), the Douja d'Or (the Cup of Gold wine festival), the
Fiera del Tartufo di Alba (the Alba truffle fair), the L'assedio di
Canelli (a historical reconstruction of the 1613 Siege of Canelli)
and many other important events held in the Langa and Monferrato area.
It is also close to the renown spas of Aqui Terme and Agliano Terme.
A major shopping centre is planned to open in the vicinity of the
Cascina Rocca.
